Customize Dark UI Colors to Match Your Preference
Access the Resource Pack Settings
Resource packs like Pretty Dark UI use texture files that define the color palette. To customize the dark theme colors, you'll need to edit the pack's configuration files.
1. Locate your resource pack folder in .minecraft/resourcepacks/
2. Find the Pretty Dark UI folder and open it
3. Navigate to the assets folder, then to texture directories containing GUI textures
Modify Color Values
The dark panels and backgrounds are defined in PNG texture files. You can edit these using any image editor:
- Open the dark background textures (usually named
widgets.pngor similar GUI files) - Adjust the hex color values to lighten, darken, or shift the hue of the dark theme
- Increase contrast if text becomes hard to read against your new colors
- Save changes and reload your resource pack in-game
Test Your Changes
Open various menus—inventory, crafting table, settings—to see how your color modifications look across all screens. Adjust further if needed until you're satisfied with readability and aesthetics.
