How to Build a Prefab Farm and Process Crops

Placing the Farm

Craft a Farm and place it on level ground near water. Upgrade it with an Upgrade to Improved Farm, then to Advanced Farm for larger plots. Windmill can be placed nearby as a decorative structure.

Harvesting with Sickles

Craft a Wood Sickle first, then upgrade through Stone Sickle, Iron Sickle, Gold Sickle, Diamond Sickle, and finally Netherite Sickle. Right-click mature crops to harvest in an area. The higher tier, the larger the sweep.

Storing the Harvest

Harvested crops drop as Bunch of Carrots, Bunch of Beets, and Bunch of Potatoes. These are crafting ingredients — combine them into Crate of Carrots, Crate of Beets, or Crate of Potatoes for compact storage. Carton of Eggs and Clutch of Eggs store eggs the same way. Wooden Crate and Compressed Chest hold general goods.

Clearing Land

Use the Bulldozer to flatten terrain before placing a Farm. Compressed Dirt and Double Compressed Dirt let you store large amounts of dirt from clearing. Dirt Slab, Dirt Stairs, and Dirt Wall are decorative dirt variants if you want landscaping.
