Choosing Between House, Modern and Modular House

Small and Standard Homes

House is the basic dwelling. Place it, then use the Upgrade item to turn it into Improved House. Advanced House is the largest of the house line. Modular House is a separate structure you place directly. Villager Houses places a group of small dwellings rather than one home.

Modern Line

Modern is the modern-style build. Upgrade it to Improved Modern, and use Advanced Modern for the largest modern structure. These use the Quartz-Crete family for their look — Quartz-Crete, Smooth Quartz-Crete, Quartz-Crete Bricks, Quartz-Crete Pillar, Quartz-Crete Slab, Quartz-Crete Stairs, Quartz-Crete Wall, Chiseled Quartz-Crete, Smooth Quartz-Crete Slab, Smooth Quartz-Crete Stairs and Smooth Quartz-Crete Wall all match the modern palette.

Other Dwellings

Ski Lodge and Saloon are standalone builds for a different style. Aqua Base and Improved Aqua Base suit water-side placement. Whichever you pick, place it on cleared ground, run the Upgrade item on it if an improved form exists, and finish the interior with Light Switch, Dark Lamp, Paper Lantern, Coil of Lanterns or String of Lanterns.
