Building a Farm Setup with Prefab

Place the Farm

Place a Farm on flat ground with room around it. Use the Upgrade item on it to convert it into an Improved Farm, and use Upgrade again on the Advanced Farm line if you have the Advanced Farm item. The Farm, Improved Farm and Advanced Farm all produce crops on their own once placed.

Collect and Store

Harvest with a Sickle. Stone Sickle, Iron Sickle, Gold Sickle, Diamond Sickle and Netherite Sickle cover the progression from cheap to durable. Each Sickle clears crops in an area, so sweep it across the farm plots rather than breaking blocks one at a time. Move the harvest into Crate of Carrots, Crate of Beets, Crate of Potatoes, Bunch of Carrots, Bunch of Beets and Bunch of Potatoes, or drop it into a Wooden Crate or Compressed Chest placed beside the farm.

Expand

Add more Farm structures side by side, or place Villager Houses nearby so the area reads as a settlement. Use Boundary Block to fence the working area, Light Switch to control the lamps, and Dark Lamp, Paper Lantern, Coil of Lanterns or String of Lanterns for lighting. Use the Bulldozer to flatten ground before placing the next farm.
