Pin Your Name to the Top of the Player Tab List

Keep Your Name Visible

On large servers with many players, your name can get lost in the tab list. Pin it to the top for quick access.

Steps:

1. Open betterpingdisplay.json in your config folder

2. Find the prioritizeSelfInTabList setting

3. Set it to true

4. Save and rejoin your server

Your player name will now always appear at the very top of the tab list, making it easy to find your own ping and status without scrolling.

Add a Custom Tag to Your Name

You can also display a custom client-side tag (like a prefix) in front of your name to personalize your appearance.

Steps:

1. Locate showSelfPrefix in the config file

2. Set it to true

3. Configure your custom tag text in the related setting

4. Save and rejoin

Your tag will display only on your client—other players won't see it.
