Create a Custom Block and Add It to the World
Configure Your Custom Block
Define your block in the server's block configuration files. Specify the block's name, texture paths, hardness (mining resistance), blast resistance, and whether it's solid or transparent. You can also set whether it drops items when mined and what those drops are.
Set Block Properties
Choose additional behaviors: does it conduct redstone? Can mobs spawn on it? Is it flammable? These properties go into the same configuration file and control how the block interacts with the game world.
Place the Block
After restarting the server, use the /setblock command to place your custom block:
`
/setblock [x] [y] [z] [block_name]
`
Replace coordinates and block name as needed. The block appears immediately in the world.
Verify Behavior
Test mining the block to confirm it breaks correctly and drops the right items. Check that redstone, mobs, and fire interact with it as intended. Adjust configuration values if behavior doesn't match your design, then restart the server to apply changes.
