Brewing With the Cauldron: Reagents and Progression

The Cauldron is the block where your gathered reagents come together. Everything else in the mod — the Mortar and Pestle, the powders, the creature drops — exists to feed the Cauldron.

Gathering Reagents First

Before you touch the Cauldron, stock the reagents the mod provides: Activated Charcoal, Bezoar, Charcoal Powder, Ender Powder, Polar Bear Gall Bladder, and Red Feather. Some come from grinding at the Mortar, others are drops you collect in the world. Polar Bear Gall Bladder and Red Feather in particular are creature-sourced, so plan trips to get them rather than expecting them from crafting alone.

Working at the Cauldron

Place the Cauldron and interact with it while holding your reagents. The Cauldron is the processing block for potion work; the exact combination you feed it determines the result. Because the mod's recipes are limited, treat each reagent as precious — do not dump everything in at once hoping for an output. Add the reagents a recipe calls for, confirm the result, then repeat.

Order of Operations

Build in this order: craft the Mortar and Pestle, grind charcoal into Charcoal Powder, convert that into Activated Charcoal, then bring Activated Charcoal plus your creature drops to the Cauldron. Keeping that chain in mind means you always know the next step instead of standing at the Cauldron with nothing usable in hand.
