Adjust Colored Lighting Intensity for Your Build Style

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (typically found in your control settings). Look for the PotatoGlow Shaders configuration panel.

Customize Light Tint Strength

Locate the Colored Lighting or Light Tint slider. This controls how strongly torches, glowstone, and other light sources color nearby blocks:

  • Higher values make colored light more vibrant and spread further—ideal if you want dramatic warm tones from torches or cool tints from soul lanterns
  • Lower values keep lighting more neutral and subtle, useful if colored light feels overwhelming in your build

Test Your Changes

Place a torch or light source near different block types and walk around to see how the tint affects them. Adjust the slider until the effect matches your aesthetic. Remember that time of day and fog also influence how colors appear, so test at different times.

Save Your Preference

Once satisfied, confirm your settings are saved in the shader menu. Your colored lighting preference will persist across sessions.
