Adjusting Shader Brightness and Lighting Intensity

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually found in your video settings under Shaders). Look for the Potato Lite profile and select it to view available customization options.

Modify Lighting Parameters

Locate brightness and lighting intensity sliders within the shader menu. These controls let you adjust how warm the colored lighting appears and how bright your overall world becomes. Lower values create moodier, more atmospheric scenes, while higher values brighten caves and indoor spaces.

Fine-Tune for Your Hardware

If you notice frame rate drops after adjusting settings, reduce shadow quality or disable advanced lighting features. The mod is designed to stay lightweight, but aggressive brightness settings on very old hardware may impact performance.

Test Your Changes

Apply settings and load into your world. Visit both bright outdoor areas and dark caves to confirm the lighting feels balanced. Adjust again if needed—shader settings take effect immediately without requiring a world reload.
