Enabling Ambient Occlusion for Softer Shadows
Open Shader Configuration
Access your shader options through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options in-game.
Find Ambient Occlusion Settings
Post'n'Stuff! includes ambient occlusion (AO) features that darken corners, crevices, and block edges naturally. Look for toggles or sliders labeled "Ambient Occlusion," "AO," or "Shadow Detail."
Enable and Adjust Strength
Turn ambient occlusion on if it isn't already active. If a strength slider is available, experiment with the value—higher settings create more pronounced shadows in corners and where blocks meet, while lower settings keep the effect subtle.
Observe the Difference
Walk around your world and look at block corners, the undersides of overhangs, and tight spaces between blocks. With AO enabled, these areas should appear softer and more three-dimensional rather than flat. This effect is especially noticeable in caves and underground builds.
Performance Check
If your frame rate drops noticeably, reduce the AO strength or disable it on older hardware. Post'n'Stuff! is designed to stay performant, so the impact should be minimal.
