Adjusting Bloom Intensity Around Light Sources

Access the Shader Settings

Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your launcher.

Locate Bloom Controls

Look for bloom-related sliders in the options panel. Post'n'Stuff! provides adjustable bloom settings that let you control how much glow radiates from bright blocks like torches, lava, glowstone, and lanterns.

Fine-Tune for Your Preference

Increase bloom intensity if you want light sources to feel more prominent and atmospheric—useful for creating dramatic lighting in builds. Decrease it if the glow feels overwhelming or washes out nearby details. Test your changes in different lighting conditions: bright daylight, caves, and night scenes all render bloom differently.

Apply and Test

Save your settings and explore your world. Pay attention to how torches and lava now appear in your builds. You can return to adjust further if the effect doesn't match your vision. Most players find a moderate bloom setting balances atmosphere with visibility.
