Adjust Posterization Intensity for Your Preferred Look
Access Shader Settings
Open your shader options menu while in-game. Most shader packs store settings in a dedicated config screen accessible from Video Settings or directly through a shader menu overlay.
Find Posterization Controls
Look for sliders or toggles related to color levels, color depth, or posterization strength. These controls determine how many distinct color bands appear on screen. Higher values create smoother gradients with more colors; lower values produce bolder, flatter color steps with fewer shades.
Test Your Changes
Adjust the posterization slider and observe blocks, mobs, and the sky in real-time. Move between different lighting conditions—sunlight, shadows, caves—to see how the effect responds. Bright areas and dark areas should show distinct color banding at lower settings.
Fine-Tune for Performance
If you experience frame rate drops, reduce posterization intensity slightly. The shader is designed to run efficiently, but extreme settings on lower-end hardware may cause lag. Find the balance between visual style and smooth gameplay that works for your system.
