In Shader Options, locate ambient lighting or cave brightness controls. Increase these values gradually to brighten underground environments. Polace's design keeps caves moody rather than washed out.

Balance Night and Day

Separate controls often exist for day and night ambient levels. If caves feel too dark at night, boost the night ambient value without affecting daytime visuals.

Use Torches Effectively

Polace's lighting system responds well to placed light sources. Strategic torch placement becomes more rewarding—light spreads naturally and creates softer shadows around your builds.

Test Different Biomes

Cave visibility varies by biome due to Polace's biome-specific lighting. Deep caves, lush caverns, and dripstone areas may need different brightness levels for comfortable mining.
