How to Use Invisible Pressure Plates for Hidden Triggers

Pick the Right Invisible Plate

The mod provides five invisible plates: Invisible Copper Pressure Plate, Invisible Mossy Cobblestone Pressure Plate, Invisible Mossy Mob Pressure Plate, Invisible Obsidian Pressure Plate, and the visible plates they mirror. Each invisible plate is crafted with a shaped recipe, matching the recipe of its visible counterpart but producing the hidden version.

Choose the invisible plate that matches the floor you are hiding it in. Use Invisible Copper Pressure Plate for copper floors, Invisible Mossy Cobblestone Pressure Plate for mossy stone floors, Invisible Obsidian Pressure Plate for dark obsidian floors, and Invisible Mossy Mob Pressure Plate where a mossy mob-themed trigger is needed.

Build a Hidden Trigger

Place the invisible plate on a solid block face where a player or mob will walk. Step on it to activate redstone; it turns off when the entity leaves. Because the plate is invisible, the trigger does not stand out in the floor.

Wire the plate to the device you want to control, such as a door or piston. If you want a visible warning plate at the same location, place the matching visible plate nearby and connect both to the same redstone line. Keep one of each invisible variant in stock so you can match any floor material without changing the visible design.
