How to Craft and Use Obsidian Pressure Plates

Crafting the Obsidian Plates

The mod adds two obsidian plates: Obsidian Pressure Plate and Invisible Obsidian Pressure Plate. Both are made with shaped recipes. To craft the Obsidian Pressure Plate, arrange Obsidian in the standard pressure plate layout in a crafting grid: fill the bottom row with Obsidian and leave the upper rows empty. The result is one Obsidian Pressure Plate.

The Invisible Obsidian Pressure Plate is the hidden counterpart. Craft it with the same shaped recipe, choosing the invisible output. Keep the ingredients the same so you can produce either version from the same stock of Obsidian.

Using Them in Builds

Obsidian plates fit dark, durable builds such as nether-themed rooms, vaults, and blast-resistant structures. Place an Obsidian Pressure Plate on a solid block and step on it to send a redstone signal. It stays active while an entity is on it and turns off when the entity leaves.

Use the Invisible Obsidian Pressure Plate when the trigger must be hidden, such as a secret door in a floor made of dark blocks. Because both versions share the same behavior, you can place a visible plate at the main entrance and a hidden one at a side passage, both wired to the same redstone circuit.
