Taming a Raptor Companion

Raptor Variants

Raptor companions come in three variants: Raptor, Raptor (dark green), and Raptor (pink). Use a Raptor Spawn Egg to obtain one.

Taming Steps

1. Spawn or find a Raptor.

2. Select a taming item in your hotbar. Taming items include Apple, Bone, Cake, Carrot, Honeycomb, Raw Mutton, Seagrass, Sweet Berries, and Wheat seeds.

3. Right-click the Raptor with the item until it is tamed.

4. If it does not tame, try a different taming item from the list.

Once tamed, the Raptor follows you. With three variants available, you can tame a default, a dark green, and a pink Raptor and keep the full set as companions. Tame each one individually and check that it is following before you start on the next, so you always know which Raptor has already accepted a taming item.
