How to Build and Fly an Airship

Assemble the hull

Place a Ship Controller Assembly as the core of your vessel. Attach Airship Balloon blocks to provide lift — the more balloon blocks you add, the more lift the ship has. Mount Wheels along the underside or sides for ground handling, and fit Water Float blocks if the ship will rest on or cross water. Place Boarding Stairs wherever you want a walkable entry point.

Take control

Craft a Control Key and use it on the Ship Controller Assembly to claim the vessel. Once claimed, interacting with the controller lets you pilot the assembled ship. Use the Control Key again to release control when you are done.

Adjust and maintain

If the ship sits too low or will not rise, add more Airship Balloon blocks. If it drifts or handles poorly, check that Wheels and Water Float blocks are placed symmetrically. Use a Ship Lift Jack to raise a grounded ship for inspection or to reposition it before flight. When you want to break the vessel back down, use the Disassembly Wrench on the assembled parts to recover them instead of destroying them.
