Extract DNA

Place a DNA Extractor with its DNA Extractor Bulb. Feed it plant or mob material harvested from your crops and seed production. The Extractor pulls raw genetic data out of the input and passes it forward in the DNA chain.

Clean and Combine

Route Extractor output into a DNA Cleaner with its DNA Cleaner Bulb to strip impurities. Cleaned DNA then goes to a DNA Combiner with its DNA Combiner Bulb, where two inputs are merged into a new genetic profile. Use a DNA Remover with its DNA Remover Bulb when you need to strip a trait back out before recombining.

Tune with Catalysts

Catalysts steer the outcome of genetic work. Catalyst - Growth Rate I, II, and III push faster growth. Catalyst - Genetic Strength I, II, and III raise trait strength. Catalyst - Energy Value I, II, and III affect energy-related traits. Catalyst - Temperature Tolerance I handles temperature range. Insert the appropriate catalyst tier for the trait you want before running the Combiner.

Power the Chain

Every DNA machine needs its Bulb lit. Run Cable from your Energy Supplier to each block in the chain and keep Biomass Fluid flowing so the surrounding farm keeps producing input material.
