How to Craft and Use a Plant Pot

Crafting the Plant Pot

Place a Plant Pot to start growing plants. The Plant Pot is the base block you will use for every planting setup in the mod. Craft it using the crafting_shaped recipe type, then place it on any solid surface.

If you want a decorative or themed variant, craft the Zen Plant Pot instead. It behaves as a Plant Pot variant and is made through a separate recipe. Keep both in your inventory if you plan to build multiple growing stations.

Moving Plant Pots with Minecarts

You do not have to break a Plant Pot to relocate it. Craft a Minecart with Plant Pot to move a pot along rails. This lets you build moving plant displays or transport a planted pot without losing its contents.

Place the Minecart with Plant Pot on a rail line and push or power it like any other minecart. Use this when you want a Plant Pot to travel between growing areas.

Practical Setup

1. Craft a Plant Pot.

2. Place it where you want plants to grow.

3. Optionally craft a Zen Plant Pot for a themed look.

4. Craft a Minecart with Plant Pot if the pot needs to move.

Keep spare Plant Pots on hand so you can expand your growing area without recrafting from scratch each time.
