Picking Your Board and Knife

Every Chopping Board works the same way: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Crimson, Warped, and Olive Chopping Boards are all valid work surfaces. Choose by look, not function. Your Knife tier matters more — Stone Knife, Iron Knife, Golden Knife, Diamond Knife, and Netherite Knife all perform chopping recipes, with higher tiers giving you better durability for long prep sessions.

Running Chopping Recipes

Place the Chopping Board and interact with it while holding a Knife to start a chopping recipe. These recipes produce the sliced ingredients your pizzas need: Cucumber Slice, Mushroom Slice, Onion Slice, Pepper Slice, Pineapple Slice, and Tomato Slice. You also use chopping to break down proteins into Fish Fillet and to prepare other prep items.

Keep a chest of sliced toppings next to your board so you are not re-chopping mid-cook. If a recipe will not start, check that you are holding a Knife and not a Pizza Peel — the peel is for the Oven, not the board. Pair the board with a Basin for crushing recipes and a Pizza Station for assembly, and you have the full prep line.
