Troubleshooting Low Frame Rates with Pixelated Shaders

Check Your Current Performance

Open the debug screen (F3 on most systems) to monitor your FPS. If Pixelated Shaders is causing stuttering despite being low-end friendly, your system may need further optimization.

Reduce Render Distance

Lower your render distance setting in Video Options. Pixelated Shaders performs best with moderate distances. Reducing this dramatically improves performance on older hardware without sacrificing visual quality.

Disable or Lower Optional Effects

If your shader pack includes toggles for advanced lighting features, disable any optional enhancements. Focus on core features that define Pixelated's look—soft colors and clean lighting—while cutting resource-heavy effects.

Allocate More RAM

If you're using a launcher, increase the RAM allocated to Minecraft. Shaders benefit from extra memory. Start with 2-4GB if your system allows it.

Verify Compatibility

Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Older drivers can cause performance issues even with lightweight shaders. A driver update often resolves unexpected lag.
