How to Craft Captain and Crew Armour Sets

The armoury includes a full rank progression of hats, coats, and coat tails, plus bandanas.

Hats: Novice Captains Hat, Intermediate Captains Hat, Advanced Captains Hat, Expert Captains Hat, Master Captains Hat, Grand Master Captains Hat. Coats: Novice Coat, Intermediate Coat, Advanced Coat, Expert Coat, Master Coat, Grand Master Coat. Coat Tails follow the same ladder: Novice Coat Tails through Grand Master Coat Tails. Each tier is a separate item, so upgrading means crafting the next tier rather than renaming.

Writs

The matching writs are Novice Writ, Intermediate Writ, Advanced Writ, Expert Writ, Master Writ, and Grand Master Writ. These track alongside the armour tiers and are used in the progression chain.

Special Sets

Bone Captains Hat, Bone Coat, and Bone Coat Tails form a bone-themed set. Hoar Frosts Captains Hat, Hoar Frosts Coat, and Hoar Frosts Coat Tails form the Hoar Frost set. Familiar Hat is a standalone head item. Bandanas come in Blue Bandana, Green Bandana, and Dull Bandana.

Practical Notes

Check JEI for the exact grid of each tier, since the chain uses both crafting_shaped and crafting_shapeless recipes. Build the tier you can afford and keep the writ for that tier on hand.
