How to Craft and Upgrade Boarding Axes

Boarding Axes mirror the cutlass progression but use their own mold and their own gilded variants.

Base Boarding Axes

Craft a Boarding Axe Mold first. Combine it with your material to get Iron Boarding Axe, Golden Boarding Axe, Diamond Boarding Axe, Netherite Boarding Axe, Bone Boarding Axe, Blood Diamond Boarding Axe, Poseidon Boarding Axe, or Nanner Boarding Axe. The mold is reusable in the sense that you craft it once and then use it in each recipe.

Gilded Boarding Axes

Gilded Boarding Axes require Gold Leaf plus the base axe. The gilded set includes Gilded Iron Boarding Axe, Gilded Diamond Boarding Axe, Gilded Netherite Boarding Axe, Gilded Poseidon Boarding Axe, and Gilded Blood Diamond Boarding Axe. These are smithing recipes, so use a smithing table rather than a crafting table.

Practical Order

Build Iron Boarding Axe early, then Diamond Boarding Axe once diamonds are flowing. Netherite Boarding Axe needs netherite scrap from vanilla sources. Blood Diamond Boarding Axe and Poseidon Boarding Axe are the endgame targets and depend on Blood Diamond and Poseidon materials. Save Gold Leaf for the tier you actually use in combat, since gilding each axe separately multiplies the cost.
