Crafting Flint Tools and Armor

Flint gear is the early-game tier that bridges wooden tools and iron. It covers weapons, tools, and a full armor set.

Flint Tools

Flint tools include Flint Pickaxe, Flint Axe, Flint Shovel, Flint Hoe, Flint Sword, Flint Shears, Flint Spear, Flint Sickle, Flint Scythe, and Flint Paxel. The Paxel combines pickaxe, axe, and shovel functions in one item, saving inventory space. The Sickle and Scythe are for harvesting grass and crops. The Spear is a reach weapon.

Craft these with flint and sticks in standard tool shapes. Flint Shears replace iron shears for shearing sheep and leaves.

Flint Armor

Flint Helmet, Flint Chestplate, Flint Leggings, and Flint Boots form a full set. Craft them like other armor using flint in place of the usual material. Wear the full set for early protection before you have iron.

Progression

Flint is easy to obtain from gravel, so craft a Flint Paxel first — it handles most block breaking. Add a Flint Sword and Flint Spear for combat, then fill out the armor set. Once you have iron, move up to Iron Paxel, Iron Sickle, and Iron Scythe.
