Crafting and Using the Paxel

The Paxel is a single tool that acts as pickaxe, axe, and shovel. It replaces three tools in your hotbar.

Available Tiers

Paxels come in Wooden, Stone, Flint, Iron, Golden, Diamond, Emerald, and Netherite. Each tier matches the mining level of its material. Craft the tier that matches your current pickaxe.

Crafting a Paxel

A Paxel is crafted from the tool material plus sticks, similar to a pickaxe but with a larger material cost. Check your recipe book for the exact grid for your tier. Once crafted, the Paxel mines stone, chops wood, and digs dirt, sand, and gravel.

When to Use It

• Carry a Paxel instead of separate pickaxe, axe, and shovel.
• Use it for general mining and building.
• Keep a dedicated Pickaxe for fortune or silk touch if you have one.

Progression Tip

Craft a Flint Paxel as soon as you have flint, then upgrade to Iron, Diamond, Emerald, or Netherite as materials allow. The Netherite Paxel is the final tier and is made via smithing transform from a Diamond Paxel.
