Surviving and Playing in Constant Darkness

Prepare Your Light Sources

Since daylight is completely removed, you must rely entirely on artificial light. Craft and place torches, lanterns, and other light-emitting blocks liberally throughout your base and travel routes. Consider building with light sources embedded into walls and ceilings.

Adapt Your Mining and Building Strategy

When mining, place lights as you go to avoid getting lost in the darkness. Build your base in a well-lit area and mark pathways with torches or glowstone. The heavy fog means you cannot see far, so navigation becomes challenging—consider building guide rails or marked trails between important locations.

Combat and Mob Awareness

Mobs spawn freely in the darkness. Keep your render distance reasonable to avoid lag, and always carry a weapon and shield. Light up your sleeping area completely to prevent spawns. When exploring, move slowly and listen for mob sounds, as your vision is severely limited by fog and darkness.

Consider playing on peaceful mode if you want to focus on building and exploration without constant threat.
