Reducing or Disabling the VHS Static Effect

Open Shader Configuration

Access your shader settings menu from the in-game graphics or shader options panel. Search for any option labeled "static," "noise," "VHS," or "film grain."

Adjust Static Intensity

If a slider exists, drag it toward the minimum to reduce the intensity of the retro static overlay. Some shader packs allow you to disable the effect entirely by setting it to zero or toggling it off with a checkbox.

Test and Save

Walk around your world to see how the reduced static affects your visual experience. The static may become less noticeable at distance or only appear in certain lighting conditions. If the option cannot be disabled through the menu, the effect is likely baked into the shader and cannot be removed without replacing the shader file itself.

Note that reducing static may diminish the horror atmosphere the shader is designed to create.
