Adjusting Fog Density and Visibility Distance
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (usually accessed through your graphics settings or shader configuration panel). Look for fog or atmosphere-related sliders.
Modify Fog Parameters
Locate the fog density or visibility distance setting. Increasing this value will push back the fog wall and let you see further into the distance, while decreasing it will make the fog thicker and closer. Adjust incrementally and observe the changes in real-time as you look around your world.
If your shader menu includes separate controls for near and far fog planes, adjust the far plane to control how quickly the world fades to black at distance.
Fine-Tune for Gameplay
For survival mode, you may want slightly reduced fog density to avoid running into mobs you cannot see. For pure horror atmosphere, keep fog dense. Test your changes by walking through different biomes—fog behavior may vary depending on your terrain and lighting conditions.
