How to Craft a Mug

Getting the Mug

The Mug is the container every other drink in the mod is built around, so make one first. It comes from a crafting_shaped recipe. Lay the required materials out in the shaped pattern your recipe viewer shows for the Mug, then take the finished Mug into your inventory.

Why You Need It First

Every liquid item in the mod — Mug of Water, Mug of Milk, Mug of Lava, Clay Brew, Slow Brew, and Ultimate Slow Brew — is served in a Mug. Without a Mug you cannot hold or drink any of them. Craft at least two or three Mugs before you start brewing so you are not stopping to re-craft between steps.

Next Steps

Once you have a Mug, fill it to make Mug of Water or Mug of Milk, or move straight into the brewing chain with Clay Brew and Slow Brew. Keep your spare Mugs somewhere you can grab them quickly, because the higher-tier brews consume a Mug each time you make one.
