Locking Chests and Protecting Items

Using the Lock Mechanic

The mod includes a lock and key system to secure your storage containers. After obtaining or crafting keys, you can lock any compatible chest to prevent theft or accidental access. This is especially useful for protecting valuable items in multiplayer worlds.

Locking Your Containers

Approach a chest you own and use the lock item on it. The chest will become locked and require the matching key to open. Keep your keys in a safe place—losing them means you cannot access that chest without breaking it.

Protecting Pet Mimics

You can also lock tamed pet mimics to prevent other players from accessing their inventory. This ensures your companion's stored items remain secure. Remember which key belongs to which chest or mimic to avoid confusion during gameplay.
