Finding Pots in the Wilderness

Breakable pots spawn throughout the overworld in caves, forests, deserts, and other biomes. They appear as decorative ceramic vessels that can be destroyed with any tool or by hand. Unlike chests, pots don't require keys and pose no threat.

Breaking Pots for Loot

Approach a pot and attack it to break it open. Pots drop supplies such as raw materials, food, and useful crafting items. The contents vary by biome—desert pots may contain different items than cave pots. Breaking pots is a quick way to gather resources without combat.

Efficient Pot Hunting

Explore caves and biome-specific areas systematically to find clusters of pots. Since they're harmless and common, you can break them freely without risk. This makes pot hunting an excellent early-game resource gathering strategy before encountering dangerous mimics or locked chests.
