How to Use a Zipline in ParCool: Hook, Rope, Ride

Set up the line

Place a Wooden Zipline Hook or Iron Zipline Hook at your starting point, then place a second hook where you want to arrive. Craft Zipline Rope and connect the two hooks with it. The rope only works between two placed hooks, so both ends must exist before you ride.

Riding the zipline

Approach the starting hook and interact with the connected line to attach. You then travel along the rope toward the far hook. Steer nothing mid-ride; the rope defines the path. When you reach the end, you detach at the second hook and drop or land normally.

Practical tips

• Build your first line short and flat so you can confirm the attach interaction works before committing to a long route.
• Place the destination hook lower than the start so you keep momentum along the whole rope.
• Use the Iron Zipline Hook for lines you rely on often and the Wooden Zipline Hook for quick temporary routes.
• If attaching fails, re-check that Zipline Rope actually links the two hooks and that neither hook was broken.
• Chain multiple lines by ending one at a hook that also starts the next, letting you cross large builds in stages.
