How to Craft and Place Zipline Hooks in ParCool

Crafting the hooks

You need two hook types: Wooden Zipline Hook and Iron Zipline Hook. Both are made with shaped crafting recipes at a crafting table. Arrange your ingredients in the grid pattern the recipe shows to produce the hook. The wooden version is the cheaper starting point; craft the iron version once you have iron available.

Placing hooks

Hooks are blocks, so place them like any other block. Right-click a solid surface with the hook in hand to set it. Plan your route before placing: the first hook marks where the ride starts, and the second marks where it ends. Place the second hook at a lower point or across a gap so the rope has somewhere to travel. Keep both hooks visible from each other so you can aim the rope correctly.

Connecting with Zipline Rope

Craft Zipline Rope using its recipe, then use it to link the two placed hooks. With both hooks placed, apply the rope so it spans from one hook to the other. Once connected, the line is ready to ride. If the rope does not connect, check that both ends are actual Zipline Hook blocks and not decorative lookalikes, and reposition a hook if the span is awkward. Build short test lines first, then extend your network once you know the spacing that works.
