Building a Zipline Route with Iron and Wooden Hooks

Choosing Your Hooks

ParCool has two hook blocks: the Wooden Zipline Hook and the Iron Zipline Hook. Wooden hooks are the cheaper option for short routes around a base. Iron hooks are the sturdier choice for long descents or routes you will ride constantly. Both connect using Zipline Rope.

Laying Out the Route

1. Pick a high starting point — a tower, cliff, or platform — and place a Zipline Hook there.

2. Walk to your intended landing spot and place a second Zipline Hook. It must be lower than the first so you travel downhill.

3. Craft enough Zipline Rope to cover the distance between the two hooks.

4. Link the hooks with the Zipline Rope.

5. Interact with the starting hook to ride down to the landing hook.

Extending the Route

For a longer journey, chain multiple segments: place a hook at each stop along the way, always stepping downward, and run Zipline Rope between each pair. Use Wooden Zipline Hooks for the short hops and Iron Zipline Hooks at the main anchor points where routes begin or end. If a segment refuses to work, confirm both hooks sit on solid blocks and that the far hook is lower than the near one. Keep spare Zipline Rope in your inventory so you can add segments without returning to a crafting table.
