How to Get and Use Essence in the Paragliders Mod

Where Essence Comes From

Essence is the base material for every elixir and mixture in the mod. You obtain it by processing the mod's raw ingredients through the recipe types the mod registers: campfire_cooking, smelting, and smoking. Each of these processing paths can turn your starting materials into Essence, so you are not locked to a single furnace setup. A campfire works early game, a furnace handles bulk batches, and a smoker processes faster when you need Essence in a hurry.

Turning Essence Into Elixirs

Once you have Essence, combine it into the consumable items:

• Enduring Elixir and Enduring Mixture — the enduring line, built from Essence through crafting_shaped or crafting_shapeless recipes.
• Energizing Elixir and Energizing Mixture — the energizing line, same recipe types.

Elixirs and Mixtures are separate items, so check which one your recipe produces before committing materials. The cosmetic recipe type (paraglider:cosmetic) is used for appearance-related crafting and does not produce Essence, so do not route your Essence ingredients there.

Practical Order

1. Gather raw ingredients and run them through campfire_cooking, smelting, or smoking to produce Essence.

2. Craft Essence into the elixir or mixture you want.

3. Save surplus Essence — you will need it again for Spirit Orb and stamina-related progression.
