How to Convert Plain Panes into Stained and Tinted Panes
Understand the three finishes
Plain is the base colored glass. Stained is the deeper stained-glass finish. Tinted is the darkened finish. Every color has all three, and each finish also has Dual and Horizontal variants. So Black Plain Glass Pane (edge aligned), Black Stained Glass Pane (edge aligned), and Black Tinted Glass Pane (edge aligned) are three distinct blocks you craft separately.
Conversion at the Glass Pane Table
Take your Plain pane to the Glass Pane Table. The table's pitg:glass_pane_table recipes handle the finish conversion. Because the mod also registers 166 shapeless recipes, some finish combinations can be produced by shapeless crafting with the matching dye — Green Dye is one example of a registered dye item. If a table recipe does not appear for the finish you want, try the shapeless route with the pane plus the dye.
Order of operations
1. Craft the Plain vertical pane at the table.
2. Convert to Stained or Tinted at the table.
3. Convert to Dual or Horizontal if the build needs it.
Do the finish conversion before the orientation conversion so you only handle the pane once per stage. Keep a stack of each Plain pane in storage as your conversion stock.
