How to Build a Full Colored Window Set with Dual and Horizontal Panes

Plan the color family

Each of the 16 colors has nine pane blocks: Plain, Stained, and Tinted, each in vertical, Dual, and Horizontal form. For example, the Cyan family includes Cyan Plain Glass Pane (edge aligned), Cyan Plain Dual Glass Pane (edge aligned), Cyan Plain Horizontal Glass Pane, plus the Stained and Tinted equivalents. Pick one color and commit to it before crafting, since mixing families mid-build wastes dye.

Craft in order

Start with the plain vertical pane at the Glass Pane Table. From there, branch out:

• Dual: convert the vertical pane to its Dual version at the table.
• Horizontal: convert the vertical pane to its Horizontal version at the table.
• Stained and Tinted: re-run the table recipe with the appropriate finish.

Green Dye is registered as an item, so the green family is straightforward to test first. Once you confirm the table outputs, repeat for the other colors.

Assemble the window

Use vertical panes for tall narrow openings, Horizontal panes for wide bands and railings, and Dual panes where you want a thicker pane footprint from a single block. Keep the Glazing Tool in hand while placing. Because all conversions run through the same table, you can build an entire matched window wall from one color family without leaving the workshop.
