How to Cook Tree Ingredients in a Furnace, Smoker, or Campfire

Three Cooking Stations

The mod uses three cooking recipe types: smelting (9 recipes), smoking (9 recipes), and campfire_cooking (9 recipes). These cover the nine roasted nut items: Roasted Acorn, Roasted Almond, Roasted Cashew, Roasted Chestnut, Roasted Hazelnut, Roasted Pecan, Roasted Pinenuts, Roasted Pistachio, and Roasted Walnut.

Choosing a Station

• Furnace (smelting): standard speed, uses fuel.
• Smoker (smoking): faster than a furnace for these recipes, uses fuel.
• Campfire (campfire_cooking): no fuel needed, but slower and only cooks one item at a time per campfire.

Step-by-Step

1. Harvest the raw nut from its tree. The matching Saplings are Acorn Sapling, Almond Sapling, Cashew Sapling, Chestnut Sapling, Hazelnut Sapling, Pecan Sapling, Pinenut Sapling, Pistachio Sapling, and Walnut Sapling.

2. Place the raw nut in your chosen station.

3. Add fuel if using a furnace or smoker.

4. Collect the Roasted result when cooking finishes.

Scaling Up

If you are roasting many nuts, build a row of smokers or campfires and load them in parallel. Keep a chest of raw nuts next to the station and a chest for Roasted output on the other side so you can move items in one direction without sorting.
