Growing Nut Trees for Roasted Nut Production

The Nine Nut Trees

To produce roasted nuts you first need raw nuts, which come from these Saplings: Acorn Sapling, Almond Sapling, Cashew Sapling, Chestnut Sapling, Hazelnut Sapling, Pecan Sapling, Pinenut Sapling, Pistachio Sapling, and Walnut Sapling. Each grown tree yields its matching raw nut.

Planting Layout

1. Clear a flat area with room for full tree canopies.

2. Plant each nut Sapling on dirt or grass with light above it.

3. Space trees so canopies do not overlap and block growth.

5. Harvest the raw nuts from the tree.

From Raw Nut to Roasted Nut

Once harvested, raw nuts go into campfire_cooking, smelting, or smoking recipes to become Roasted Acorn, Roasted Almond, Roasted Cashew, Roasted Chestnut, Roasted Hazelnut, Roasted Pecan, Roasted Pinenuts, Roasted Pistachio, or Roasted Walnut. Set up your cooking station near the orchard so you can move nuts straight from harvest to roast.

Orchard Management

Plant all nine nut Saplings if you want every roasted nut type available. Replant any Sapling that fails to grow. Keep raw and roasted nuts in separate storage so recipes that need a specific nut are easy to fill.
