Planning the Orchard

A mixed orchard gives you fruit and nuts from one area. Fruit Saplings include Apple Sapling, Apricot Sapling, Avocado Sapling, Banana Sapling, Breadfruit Sapling, Cherry Sapling, Coconut Sapling, Date Sapling, Dragonfruit Sapling, Durian Sapling, Fig Sapling, Gooseberry Sapling, Grapefruit Sapling, Guava Sapling, Jackfruit Sapling, Lemon Sapling, Lime Sapling, Lychee Sapling, Mango Sapling, Olive Sapling, Orange Sapling, Papaya Sapling, Passionfruit Sapling, Pawpaw Sapling, Peach Sapling, Pear Sapling, Persimmon Sapling, Plum Sapling, Pomegranate Sapling, Rambutan Sapling, Soursop Sapling, Starfruit Sapling, Tamarind Sapling, and Vanillabean Sapling. Nut Saplings include Acorn Sapling, Almond Sapling, Cashew Sapling, Chestnut Sapling, Hazelnut Sapling, Pecan Sapling, Pinenut Sapling, Pistachio Sapling, and Walnut Sapling. Layout and Planting

1. Section the orchard into rows: fruit, nuts, and specialty.

2. Plant each Sapling on dirt or grass with clear space above.

3. Leave walking gaps between rows so you can harvest without climbing over canopies.

4. Place chests at the end of each row for that row's harvest.

Using the Harvest

Fruit feeds shapeless crafting recipes. Nuts feed campfire_cooking, smelting, and smoking recipes to make Roasted Acorn, Roasted Almond, Roasted Cashew, Roasted Chestnut, Roasted Hazelnut, Roasted Pecan, Roasted Pinenuts, Roasted Pistachio, and Roasted Walnut. Specialty Saplings round out the orchard so you have every tree type the mod provides in one place.
