How to Craft a Fossil Block in Pam's BoneCraft

Gathering the Materials

Everything in Pam's BoneCraft starts with bone. Kill skeletons until you have a healthy stack of bones, then turn those bones into bone meal at a crafting table. Bone meal is the base ingredient you will combine into the Fossil block.

Crafting the Fossil

The Fossil is the only block in the mod and the foundation for every tool and armor piece. Open a crafting table and arrange your bone-derived materials in a shaped recipe to produce the Fossil block. Once you have one Fossil, you can break it back down or use it directly as the crafting ingredient for gear. Because the mod only registers a single shaped recipe type, every item you make — Bone Axe, Bone Pickaxe, Bone Shovel, Bone Hoe, Bone Sword, Bone Helm, Bone Chest, Bone Legs, and Bone Boots — is built from Fossils at a crafting table. Stockpile several Fossils before you start crafting gear so you are not running back and forth between your bone supply and your workbench. A chest full of Fossils is the safest way to guarantee you can replace broken tools without another skeleton hunt.
