Farming Bones and Fossils Efficiently

Skeleton Farming Basics

Every Fossil in Pam's BoneCraft traces back to bones dropped by skeletons. Build a dark, enclosed mob farm or find a spawner in a dungeon and light it so skeletons keep spawning. Use a Bone Sword to kill them quickly, and collect every bone drop. Because the mod only has one shaped recipe type, your entire progression is bottlenecked by how many bones you can convert into Fossils, so volume matters more than speed.

Converting Bones into a Fossil Stockpile

Take your bones to a crafting table and process them into the bone-derived material the Fossil recipe requires. Craft Fossils in batches rather than one at a time — fill your inventory with the intermediate material, then run the shaped recipe repeatedly until you have a stack of Fossils. Store Fossils in a dedicated chest next to your crafting table so tool and armor recrafting is a two-second job. Keep a second chest for raw bones so you always know how much material you have left. When your Fossil chest runs low, return to the farm before your gear breaks, not after. This loop — farm skeletons, convert to Fossils, craft Bone tools and Bone armor — is the entire progression of the mod, so make it a habit rather than a one-time grind.
