How to Unpack Packages with the Unpackager
Placing the Unpackager
Place an Unpackager and give it packaged items as input. The Unpackager reverses the packaging step and returns the original components.
Feeding Packaged Input
Insert packaged items into the Unpackager. It processes each package and outputs the contents. Route the output to chests, machines, or back into your crafting chain.
Combining with the Packager
A common loop is Packager to Unpackager. The Packager turns ingredients into a package using a Recipe Package; the Unpackager turns that package back into ingredients. Use this when you need to move many items as a single package and split them again at the destination.
Routing with the Positioned Package Distributor
If packages must arrive at a specific Unpackager rather than the closest one, place a Positioned Package Distributor and a Distributor Marker. The marker defines the target position, and the distributor sends packages there.
Handling Fluids
For fluid contents, use the Fluid Package Filler to create fluid packages, then feed those into the Unpackager to recover the fluid. Keep fluid packages separate from item packages so each Unpackager handles one type cleanly.
