How to Route Packages with the Positioned Package Distributor and Distributor Marker

Why Positioned Routing

A plain inventory connection sends packages to the nearest valid target. When several machines could accept a package, use a Positioned Package Distributor so each package goes to the exact machine you choose.

Placing the Distributor and Marker

Place a Positioned Package Distributor. Place a Distributor Marker at the destination you want packages delivered to. The marker records that position so the distributor knows where to send.

Sending Packages

Feed packages into the Positioned Package Distributor. It reads the marker and delivers each package to the marked position instead of the closest inventory. This keeps recipes from landing in the wrong machine.

Using Proxy Markers

Place a Proxy Marker when you need to represent a position indirectly, such as when the target is part of a larger machine setup. The Proxy Marker stands in for the destination so the distributor can still resolve where to send.

Combining with Crafting Machines

Route packages to a Package Crafter or Package Crafting Machine Proxy. The proxy lets the distributor treat a crafting machine as a package destination. Pair markers with each destination so every recipe reaches its intended machine.
