How to Package Items Automatically with the Packager and Packager Extension
Placing the Packager
Place a Packager where it can receive ingredients. Feed it a Recipe Package that describes the recipe you want to run. The Packager reads the package and waits for the correct inputs.
Expanding Capacity with the Packager Extension
Attach a Packager Extension to the Packager to increase how much it can hold or process at once. Place the extension adjacent to the Packager so the two connect. Use extensions when a single Packager cannot keep up with the ingredient throughput you are feeding it.
Supplying Ingredients
Insert the ingredients the Recipe Package expects. Once all required inputs are present, the Packager produces the packaged result. Output the packaged item to the next machine in your line.
Routing the Output
Send packaged results to an Unpackager to break them back into their components, or to a Package Crafter if the package needs further crafting. Use a Positioned Package Distributor with a Distributor Marker when packages must reach a specific destination rather than the nearest inventory.
Scaling the Line
Add more Packagers in parallel, each with its own Recipe Package, to run multiple recipes at once. Keep each Packager fed with the exact ingredients its package expects so no cycle stalls.
