Enable Glowing Ores in Dark Caves

Requirements

You'll need Optifine installed alongside the Oxygen-Os Resource Pack for the glowing ore feature to work. Without Optifine, ores will display with standard textures.

Steps to Enable Glowing Ores

1. Launch Minecraft with Optifine installed and the Oxygen-Os Resource Pack active

2. Enter a dark cave or mine at night

3. Look for valuable ore blocks—they will emit a subtle glow, making them visible without torches

4. The glow effect is designed to be noticeable but not overwhelming, maintaining the pack's clean aesthetic

Tips

Glowing ores work best in complete darkness. In partially lit areas, the effect may be less obvious. This feature helps you spot valuable resources quickly while caving, reducing the need to place excessive torches. If you don't see glowing ores, verify that Optifine is properly installed and that the resource pack is selected as your active pack in the texture pack menu. The glow won't interfere with the pack's simplified visual style—it complements the clean textures by adding functional visibility without clutter.
