How to Make Vegetable Compost and Vegetable Peels

Getting Vegetable Peels

Vegetable Peels are the starting material for the mod's crafting chain. You obtain them as a byproduct, then feed them forward into Vegetable Compost. Keep a steady stock of Vegetable Peels on hand before you attempt any larger recipe, because every later block depends on having Compost available.

Turning Peels into Compost

Vegetable Compost is produced through the mod's shapeless crafting recipes. Shapeless means the position of each ingredient in the grid does not matter — only that the correct items are present in the correct counts. Place your Vegetable Peels into the crafting grid in any arrangement the recipe accepts and pull out Vegetable Compost.

Once you have Vegetable Compost, do not stop there. Compost is an ingredient in the shaped recipes that lead to the Overweight Golden Apple Block and the Waxed Peeled Melon blocks. Stockpile it.

Practical loop:

1. Process vegetables to get Vegetable Peels.

2. Craft Vegetable Peels into Vegetable Compost with a shapeless recipe.

3. Bank the Compost and use it in shaped recipes for the larger blocks.

Because both recipe types exist in the mod, always check whether the item you want uses a shapeless or shaped grid before you start placing ingredients.
