Getting and Using the Molten Shard, Void Heart, and Prismarine Rod

Molten Shard

Molten Shard is a crafting material. It is used in recipes that require heat-themed components. Store Molten Shards in a safe chest — they are consumed when crafting. Check your crafting recipes for any shaped or shapeless recipe that lists Molten Shard as an ingredient.

Void Heart

Void Heart is a crafting material tied to end-game or void-themed content. It appears in crafting recipes alongside other rare items. Keep Void Hearts separate from bulk storage so you do not accidentally use them in unrelated recipes.

Prismarine Rod

Prismarine Rod is a handle-type component. It is used in the smithing recipe that produces the Wildfire Shield, combined with a Wildfire Shield Part. Craft or obtain Prismarine Rods before starting shield crafting so you are not left waiting on materials.

Combining Materials

These three items feed into different recipes. Molten Shard and Void Heart are general crafting ingredients, while Prismarine Rod is specifically a smithing input. Before crafting, lay out all required items on your crafting table or smithing table. If a recipe does not appear, verify you are using the correct station — smithing recipes require a smithing table, not a crafting table.
