Crafting Your Otter Boat

Otter boats are crafted using the same recipe as standard wooden boats in Minecraft. Gather wood from any tree, craft planks, and arrange them in the boat crafting pattern at a crafting table. Once crafted, your boat will automatically display as a cute swimming otter instead of the default wooden boat model.

Entering and Piloting Your Otter

Right-click on your otter boat to enter it. Use WASD or arrow keys to steer through water. The otter responds to your input just like a normal boat—it accelerates smoothly and turns based on your direction. You can exit by pressing the sneak key (default: Shift) or by jumping out.

Boat Behavior

Your otter boat maintains all standard Minecraft boat mechanics: it floats on water, can be rowed up waterfalls, and breaks when it hits land at high speed. The adorable otter model is purely visual and doesn't change how the boat handles, making it a perfect cosmetic upgrade for water travel.
