Create a Carved Wood Pillar Column
Choosing Your Wood Type
Decide which tree species matches your build's aesthetic. Each wood type—Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, and Pale Oak—features its own unique carved motif. Nether woods (Crimson and Warped) and Bamboo offer specialized carved looks suited to their respective biome themes.
Building the Pillar
Use stripped wood blocks as your primary building material. These blocks display the most prominent carved patterns and work best for vertical structures. Stack them vertically to create a tall, decorative pillar.
For added visual interest, alternate between stripped wood and regular wood blocks. Regular wood blocks feature half-carved patterns on their faces, creating texture variation without overwhelming the design.
Finishing Touches
Consider placing carved wood pillars at building corners, along pathways, or as structural supports for roofs and overhangs. The carved patterns remain visible from all angles, making them effective focal points. Pair pillars with trim blocks or other carved wood pieces to build cohesive wooden structures that showcase the resource pack's detailed engraving work.
